We lost another Seawolf Brother... Dennis Kotmel

KOTMEL DENNIS R. KOTMEL age 67. Beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Phillippi); loving father of Dennis (Mary Cathryn) and Heather Kotmel; son of the late Barbara (nee Koci) and Anton Kotmel; cherished brother of Jim (Marilyn), Gene (Linda) and Ken (Debbie); son-in-law of Louise and the late Charles Phillippi; brother-in-law of Deborah Jamison (Gary) and Donna Scalia (Lenny); dear uncle of many. Mr Kotmel was U.S. Navy Veteran Vietnam War and a member of the Seawolf's Unit, he also was a sergeant of the Maple Hts. Auxiliary Police Force, a member of the Bedford VFW, Bedford Eagles and K of C. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project. Org. I'm going to do my best to attend at least make the visitation... not sure about the funeral.

56AHi Howard, I hope you made the visitation as I did not see anyone else in the area. Got to know Dennis a little bit during HC-5 training prior to going in country, and then worked with him for a few months on Binh Thuy line crew. Good guy and not afraid of work. Seawolf Association will honor his families request by making a donation to "Wounded Warriors" in his name. Rest in peace Shipmate.

I made the visitation and there was a large amount of people there... the Police Department had honor guards standing at each end of the casket and they looked sharp. Jim Young and a couple others I believe were going to make the funeral this morning.
