Thank You Letters For Circle-T BBQ

Mike Louy
Hello Mike Dobson,

I and I suppose many others would like to write personal letters to Ross Perot Jr., his ranch manager, the police escort officers and any others who made our "Welcome Home BBQ" such a magnificent success.  I know mention was made of posting this info in the Wolfgram, but I'd like to jump right on it.

My Seawolf friends, it has been 46 years since I returned home from Det. 4.  Having returned to a small town in Oklahoma where patriotism is high, and later as a flight instructor in VT-2 in Milton, FL I never received jeers or nay-saying from anyone.  I didn't feel I "needed" a welcome home.  Well, after the stupendous evening at the Circle-T Ranch, my mind was changed.  That was MY WELCOME HOME!

Mike, I want to thank you for your superlative leadership of our association the past two years.  A grateful thanks to Gary, Barb, and all others who spent their time and heart beats to make this reunion so meaningful.

Very best wishes to all,

Mike Louy

You couldn't have said it any better Mike!

I said the same thing to my wife as the buses left the hotel and the police stopped traffic at intersections through town and along the freeway and back again, and the welcome we got when we arrived at the ranch, and the thanks for our service to our country from those same policemen when we returned to the hotel that night.

I too came home to a small farm town in Washington State but to non-patriotic remarks. I had put that behind me, (as well as the town) until coming back from Desert Storm, when those memories returned.

It was a wonderful thing they did for us, and I'm grateful to all who made it possible.

Dan

Mike L, I can honestly take no credit on this one either ------ Bruce Watts was unofficial point on this one ----- Our Super Seawolf, Barb Ely, did the Lion's Share on this ---- arranging busses, coordinating with other trip to finish on time, getting all the wee details that could have derailed the whole show down to a "T" (so to speak) .................  Gary was, as always, Barb's strong right arm ------  I was in on a couple early conversations only ----------- as always, it is the people that are on station that make it work --- not the passing through CO !   hahahaa   I'll ask Gary & Barb about the address ----there ia also supposed to be a SMUG-MUG site we can get pictures , at full resolution from (compliments of the Circle T photographer )
