Pancreatic Cancer Remission

Jim Swart
Had an appointment today with my Oncologist in Huntsville, AL.  He had some outstanding news for me today,  as he told me that my cancer markers had all disappeared, and the  mass that they had seen in my spleen two months ago had also gone away.  He has now cut my visits down to every two months (just in case), since something could always happen.
On August 28, 2012, the Whipple procedure was performed on me by surgeons at the University of Alabama Birmingham, Hospital.  They removed part of my stomach, spleen, pancreas, liver, small intestine, and a bunch of lymph nodes.  My wife was told that if I lived 6 more months, it would be a miracle.  Well, that was 2&1/2 years ago.  My Oncologist told my wife and I today that I was his miracle patient, having lasted this long.

Anyway, that is what I have to crow about.  Prayers are out for all those wolves who are having medical problems.  The big man upstairs has a plan for each and every one of us, and he is the only one who knows the plan.

God Bless All of You!

That is fantastic!  Stephan Hawking has lived 50 years with ALS.  I hope you do similar with pancreatic cancer.  Although in 50 years you'll be about 122 ...  well, you know what I mean.

Congrats...
