The Association Welcomes:

(07/12/2016)

(FAM*) Cathy (Page) Bergstrom, Sister of KIA Seawolf George George Merritt Page, Jr., AN, Gunner, Det 3, 5/15/1968 to 5/5/1969.
She was found by Barry & Bonnie Waluda and Mike Meussner, living in Winnetka, CA.

She also just let me know that her and her husband are going to make the Savannah Reunion and would love to meet and talk to Det 3 or any others who knew George.

My father, Ray Lazo, Paul Rothamel, Eric Alexander, and James Catlin as well as Dick Barr all flew for Det-3 in this time frame and Mr. Page's name appears on a plaque given to him by all the enlisted men that flew with him in Vinh-long.

George was a great buddy who had a magnetic personality. I flew with him during the latter part of '68 and early '69. We were standing duty crew on Christmas Eve of 1968. George went to midnight Mass with me in a tent near our duty hooch. Since the war I have visited his gravesite at Santa Monica cemetery twice and have tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with his family. I look forward to meeting and talking with his sister in Savannah!
