Dets 1 & 9 were on it at various times from 1969 to 1971.

Det 1 - 3 Apr '69 moved to Westchester Country (LST-1167) for Barrier Reef coastal interdiction
2 Aug '70 Westchester County (LST-1167) relieves Washoe County (LST-1165)

Det 9 - 5 July '71 moved from YRBM-21 to USS Westchester County (LST-1167)
29 Jul moved from Westchester County (LST-1167) to Windham County (LST-1170)

I was on the "Westy" in the summer of '70  ,  Det 1 operated from her while staging from Seafloat at night ---  The Westy crew took great care of us --- a hard working gang -- and shakers and movers when we needed a hot turnaround ......    I think they were back again in the Fall as we were starting to settle down on Solid Anchor     I attended the Westy reunion in Reno in 06 ---- I believe they are still having regular reunions      Mike
