LCDR Al Cope

Mal Roberts
Al Cope, plankowner Det 2, is hospitalized in a hospital near Ocala with a life threatening illness.  His wife and children are by his side and need your prayers.  I'll update as info becomes available.

I rec'd this email posted by Captain Rogers yesterday.  Al has completed his earthbound tour of duty.  Godspeed Al.

Dear Sea Stallions,

Got this info from Facebook. As far as I know, Al & Cherry were living in The Villages in central Florida. I’ll check the Orlando Sentinel obits for the next few days and pass along. Al was a super guy and squadron mate!

Warmest regards,  Earle

Al Cope was my older brother.  We both flew helicopters in Nam - he with the Navy, me with the Army.  I miss him dearly.  Keep your turns up brother.
