I would like to thank all those that wished me luck and kept in touch with my A-fib issue while I was in the hospital this past week. I've been having the problem since January when the VA doc discovered it... I received treatment from an outside doc and didn't have to go to VA hospital. I had the cardioversion in March with no success and then again this past week... doc decided to keep me and start a drug treatment that you have to be monitored for 72 hours. I was going get the shock treatment again but my heart went into normal rhythm on it's own from the medication. So now I have med changes and follow up visits and go from there. That drug is very expensive and I hope I can get the VA to add my new drugs to my current list of meds they give me. It just takes a little bit to get to see the doc to take care of it so I will pay out of pocket for the first 90 day supply.
