To All,
My Father "Magnetass" passed away today. I know some members are on the run for the wall, I would like to get an idea of when would be the best time for his fellow Wolves to attend a memorial service. I will work with my family and plan accordingly. This is no inconvenience to us, I myself am a Marine air crewman and understand the bond we all share. Please contact me at Lucasgana@att.net with any questions, and please let me know when you would be able to attend.

Lucas our prayers are with you and your family. I got a text from Mike Dobson moments ago and I know he intends to attend. I was a gunner on Det 1 and your Dad was a wonderful pilot and super guy. We have lost one of the really great ones among so many good ones. May he rest in peace. We will get the word out.

Lucas,
Will the services be in or near Bellaire, TX?
That may help in determining how many might be able to attend...

My heart goes out to the Gana family over the loss of Mr. Gana. He was one of the great pilots among the many pilots who flew so honorably as a Seawolf, I was a Det-1 gunner. He and I developed solid friendship over the years, he surely will be missed! May God Bless his family!
Warmest Regards,
Tom Klavon Det-1

Lucas, we are at your service, RFTW riders who knew and rode with "Ice Pac" are stunned -- the word went out like a wildfire, and all were stunned and tears flowed without giving a damn who saw them. We are waiting for word as to the how and where. Riders are burning highways in case the time is close ---- we know of your California family also and those concerns are first --- we will be there even if we "iron Butt" to be there ...... Thank You Lucas for sharing your Father ------ Kathleen, your time with John was too short, I know you will remember his soft voice and T shirt white smile forever ........ this is a terrible shock to all who knew John

I remained honored and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to know John and share almost 10 years of my life with him. Met so many of John's fellow Seawolves. He spoke so often of you and the events that occurred on Det 1. Things that come to mind are how " Ratman" got his name, painting name of Seawolves on rotor blades and "where did that paint come from anyway?" How he got his name "Magnetass", he shared many things that I will treasure and hold dear to my heart forever.. Rick M., Barry W., Freddie T., Tom K., Hank Schieb and his son on the Pentagon South Parking lot during Rolling Thunder and Hank introducing us to his friend Nancy Sinatra and her friend "ACE", Carl Reeves and "Taco" whom I met at a reunion, many on "The Run for the Wall" and attending a couple of ROH ceremonies on the USS Yorktown, to name only a few. Visiting John Hosford in Louisiana 2 times. I remember Mike Dobson and John rode motorcycles from Texas to Louisana to visit Hos one year as well. Mike spend some time with us in our homes in Texas. Should any of you be in Dallas I would love a "shout out" and to hear from any of you at anytime. You are all welcome in my home.
Thank you all for your service to our country. It is because of you and the 44 special men Who Gave All that I have the freedom I have today. Thank you.
For the rest of you..."Welcome Home!"

My condolences Lucas. Your Dad and I flew together on Det 1 and he impressed me from day one as a nice, honest and totally reliable man. I'm so sorry he's left us. I won't be at his memorial in person but will be in spirit.
With deepest sympathy,
