Card carrying

John Cook
I wish we had a "billfold" sized Seawolf Assoc. Card available.  I would be proud to say to anyone that; "I am a card carrying Seawolf."

John, better than that, get a box of business cards printed up that recognizes your history with the SEAWOLVES, our website, and any other info that you want to include ------ several of the members have done such a card ... and it is better than word of mouth ------ even more importantly, it may lead to another lost wolf . Go For IT !!

Gents this is my own answer to this issue. I carry a Seawolf Challenge coin with me whereever I go and have for a number of years. It is a reminder to me to try to lead a life that would make our fallen shipmates proud. Sometimes I just need to pull it out, think about it, and take a chill pill. Othe times it may be to show other vets and share an experience. Then on very special occasions I give them out to important people in my life who have shown themselves to be worthy and have shown a warrior's spirit. For me this is a very hard to earn allocade. They have been earned by my wife, my children, key employees, friends who have shown a warrior's spirit fighting cancer etc. And because I do not embrace the everyone gets a trophy mentality just for showing up after the age of 10 when I have given them they are truly treasured--and I mean tears flowing treasured--truly coveted treasured.

John,

I do as both Mike and David have suggested.

I have "Business Cards" that Identify me a s a Seawolf, and RFTW participant, I make them up myself and modify as needed to hand out on RFTW or other activities. My RFTW cards list my Road Name, Contact Information, and I put whatever I may be doing on RFTW - Road Guard, Tail Gunner, etc.

Prior to my trip I buy and bring hundreds of Seawolf Pins and give them out.

I also buy some Seawolf Challenge Coins and present them to Special People in recognition or
appreciation. The recipients usually get quite emotional as they know the significance of the presentation.

On the other hand, I get membership cards from other Assn's I've belonged to - American Legion, VFW, PBR-FVA, ...
