Received this tonight from Bud Barnes:
"… Some sad news, Bill Calhoun (Det-3 69-70) lost his fight with Cancer this early AM.
Memorial service will be next week in Newport and internment at some time in the future at The Naval Academy. "

Condolences to the Family.

William McBrayer Calhoun (CAPT, Retired), LTJG, Dets 3 (Seawolf 33) & 9 (Seawolf 99), 2/28/1969 to 2/11/1970. He was a Naval Academy Graduate of Class of 1967, and an active MBR of the Association in Portsmouth, RI.

Capt. William Calhouns services will be on Thursday, July 23 at 4 Everett street, Newport, Rhode Island. Viewing will be from11am to 2 pm with a church service at 2pm. I got this info off the internet so I'm not positive of the times and such. I'll keep checking to see if there are any changes.

Served with Bill on Det 3 for a few months.  Was a great guy.  Lost track after "Nam but finally reconnected a few short years ago.  Had hoped to see him at a reunion but no such luck.  Vaya con Dios my friend.
