15-Sept

kid purington
...And shepherds we shall be
...For Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
...Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
...That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands
...So we shall flow a river forth for Thee
...And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
...In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti.
...Amen, and lets roll....

....."The Boondock Saints....MacManus brothers' Irish Catholic prayer...
...From Marcus Luttrell's, book..Lone Survivor,  Service, A Navy SEAL at War...

...For my team-mates from Det-6,, Jose & Willie Pete, upon this day.....

...as well as all the others caught up on this day so many years back....

Well said my Brothers.  I have tried to post at least 6 times today but freeze in my teacks.  My mind just seems to drift off to my fondest memories of flying and goofing around with Joe And Willie Pete.  For some reason Kid, since seeing you last week, i have their voices in my head so so clearly.  We joaked a lot.  They were and are two of the best men i have ever had the privlidge of knowing.  I miss them kid and i miss all of you det-6 guys daily.  It was great seeing everyone in room 1208.  Wish i could have spent more time there.  And i am so glad i got to see AO3 Mike Burns, my partner in crime at Aberdeen Prooving Grounds minigun school.  Thank you so much Mike for attending this reunion.  Love you guys, even that crotchity old Red Dog Red Cummings.  TITS LIVES ON IN OUR MEMORIES TOO.  Rest in peace our brothers.
