mini reunion at Mineral Wells, TX

Terry McDowell (Maverick 31)
I flew with some of the Seawolves who were attached to the Mavericks at Vinh Long in early 1967.  I remember Rocky Rowell (King Rat) and Jack Pressey, who I was flying with him when I got shot.

There will be a mini reunion for all involved with the Battle of Easter Sunday at Mineral Wells Tx on
March 22 (Wed) thru March 26 (Sun), 2017.  I hope you can join us.

Any Outlaws, Knights, Seawolves, or Shotguns are invited.

Holiday Inn Express phone number is 940-325-7829; when you call for reservations you can tell them it’s for the Outlaw Reunion in March, 2017.

Best Regards,

Terry

Terry,

If you weren't aware, Rocky and his son were killed in a head-on car accident Jan 1978 in Minnesota. I let Bill Pressey know about the post, and he told me the story about switching seats with you! Not a good day for you!
He asked if you had contact info for him to contact you.

Hi Dan,

I hate to hear that about Rocky.  He was a great guy.  We found him in Pensacola sometime later, but not sure when.  Thanks for contacting Bill too.  We switched seats so Bill could fire the rockets that leg.  My bad!  My email is juniperccw@hotmail.com. It would be great to hear from him.

Any of the Seawolves are more than welcome to join us in Mineral Wells.

Keep up your RPM!

Terry sent me an email with more info in case anyone else is interested in attending their reunion:

Thanks Dan,

There were many more guys involved from the Army side.  I'll put out the word and have them contact you through the web site if you would like.

Attached is the invitation for the mini reunion with contact numbers, dates, etc.  Is there a better place to post it?  The second attachment includes Bill [Pressey] (third from the left-no shirt) and the rest of the Maverick pilots in Vinh Long, early 1967.  I just talked with Bill, and he wants to join us in Mineral Wells.  Maybe we can get some others as well.

Thanks again for the call.

Best Regards,

Terry

Mr. McDowell, my father was Hal 3 Det 3 from October 68 through October 69 Bobby Karol Garrett  (Door Gunner)
If you know anyone who might have served with him or might remember him please let me know trying to find out more about him. I never got a chance to know him cause he was killed in a car wreck 3 months after I was born. Thanks for your service and time.

Hi Byron,

I'm sorry, but I didn't know him as I rotated home in May 1967.  I think this is a good forum to try to find him.  Dan has done a great job of pulling lots of information together.  I just stumbled across it last year, and was able to connect with one of the guys I flew with 50 years ago.  Pretty amazing.

Best of luck in your search.
