Dear All,
I'd like to follow up on an older post on UH-1B 64-13948, which was assigned to HA(L)-3 in late '71 as t/n 322. After finding 948 in rough shape, I founded a nonprofit to restore this and other Vietnam-era helicopters; our group recently acquired a hangar in New Richmond, Wisconsin to convert into a museum to display these aircraft. 948 is currently undergoing restoration to museum standards.
Thank you all for sharing your memories and from your logs--we now have a much more complete picture of 948's wartime experiences, which we will include when the helicopter is exhibited. If anyone has additional accounts or reflections to contribute--or has any photographs to share--we would appreciate hearing from you. Our website is at:

Happy holidays!
