USS Cabildo, LSD 16. 7 service stars in Vietnam. Ever used by Seawolves?

Just viewed documentary on PBS. My father was plank owner 1945, Cabildo, WWII. Was converted for helos in 'Nam and earned 7 battle stars. Any possibility connection w/your ops?

I would say that there is only a very remote possibility that we ever landed on the Cabildo ----  while not entirely out of the question that a landing might have been made on her --- it was never a facility that was used by us as a staging base and it would have had to have had fuel and ammo for us to use it at all . While it may ave had these items, The LST's were the package we used as homes and staging bases ---- their shallow draft was also a key to our use of them
