Received an email this morning from the Daughter of Seawolf Charles Edward McCaskill, Jr., LT, Det 2, 2/29/1968 to 1/30/1969. "Ed" was a Naval Academy Graduate Class of 1960, and active Member of the Association.

Dear Mr. Arnes,

I am writing to inform you of the passing of my dear father Charles Edward McCaskill.  He was deeply proud to call himself a Seawolf and shared many an exciting tale of his and your all amazing and brave feats.

I’ve included a copy of his obituary that ran in the United States Naval Academy Shipmate.  Please feel free to use all or parts of it for your publication.

Thank you for your service and contributions to keeping the camaraderie of the Seawolves alive and strong.

Warmly,
Elaine Turner

Received another Email from Barb about a call from ex-wife of Seawolf Glenn "Ed" Edward Elder, AO2, Gunner, Det 7, 10/22/1968 to 10/16/1969.

She found out that he passed away Nov 14, 2016 in Mountain Home, Texas (near Kerrville, TX).  Evidently there were no services planned.

Not much of an obituary: Obituary for Glenn Elder

We now have 591 confirmed DAT (Died After Tour), (23.12%).

Interesting pic, appears to be a launch from a YRBM...but note how big the helicopter is compared to the guy directing the launch and the person sitting in foreground...

Not intended to dismiss the somber salute...just seeing if my head was working
