Team work between the Army and Navy

Thomas J. McFarland
I was assigned to the 121st Soc Trang Tigers/Vikings, in 1966 when the Sea Wolves were being formed. We got close to some of the pilots because they trained with us before they joined their unit. I just saw a special program on Public Television about the Seawolves. I was sad to see all the comments from the guys who served with them reference be appreciated. I want them to all know that the Army Gun Guys really appreciated them. Until they formed we had to cover the PBR's and we sure didn't speak the Navy PBR language. I want all the old Seavolves to know that although they were a Special Unit with a Special Mission, they were truly appreciated by the rest of us flying B Model Gunships in the Delta. Thank you for your Service and Welcome Home.

Thank you Thomas !!  I wasn't there then, not till 70, but you guys did a great job getting our feet on the ground (or should I say "in the air" ) . Your guys developed the basics and we adapted to our mission.  I was in on more than one outpost scramble for a advisor in deep Kim Chee and proud to be there -------- but I gotta tell ya --- "Go Navy! Beat Army "      LMAO !!
