TCE exposure

gk7750
I know I'm a little slow on va claims ,but has there been any discussion on exposure to what we called cleaning solvent. Being an AO in Binh Thuy, we regularly cleaned the rocket pods with a solvent which I believe to be TCE. Does anyone have any info on the hazards? We regulary scrubbed the tubes with no protective clothing or gloves.

TCE..Trichloroethylene, is commonly used as a de-greaser, please refer to Wiki for more info...

Albeit,  I would be more concerned with exposure to MEK. ..Methyl Ethyl Keotone,  extensively used in corrosion control....

I believe Mr,. Arnes is working very hard to find all the sea wolves,  have noticed lots of cancer deaths....don't know if it's greater than in a normal population...agent orange etc.

good luck with your search to determine over exposure...  a lot of single malt whisky could be the cure?

I do believe we switched from ps661 to pd680 for some enviromental issues.

Greg, look up www.va.gov/vetapp10/files1/1009785.txt. it talks about a case of tce-pd680 that was approved thru the va appeal board
