SAD NEWS...PASSING OF 2 SHIPMATES

Barb Ely
Two More Seawolves Lost. Unfortunately, this is becoming more frequent than we want.

ROBERT "Bob" BAILEY.....Recently received a phone call from Bob's wife, Carrie, advising us of Bob's passing 25 May after a short illness. Bob was an AE and served with us in Binh Thuy Depot Maintenance shops 70-71. Private services were held 31 May where he laid to rest in Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. On a personal note, Bob and Carrie lived in Quenemo, KS where he was a CPA. On occasion, he provided the Association with his wisdom on financial matters. He and Carrie have attended our reunions regularly since joining the Assn in 2010 and they will be greatly missed at the upcoming Savannah Reunion.  GOD BLESS and Rest In Peace!!

CHARLES FIELDS passed on 4 June. Chuck was attached to Det-3 in 67-68. His wife has indicated he wished for there to be no sadness or funeral with his passing. Instead, he would like to invite all his friends and family to a "Celebration of Life" cookout. This cookout will be held on Saturday 25 June at his residence in Nicholson GA. If you are interested in attending, it will be from 4 until 6 pm and the family is requesting RSVP and name via text to ensure a head count. If you need more details please contact me. GOD BLESS and Rest in Peace!!

RIP Seawolves !  You will, indeed, be missed.  Keep the coffee hot -- we'll be there all too soon --- and the line shortens, and the rest of us take 2 steps forward
