We are through with Run For The Wall. We had a total of 8 Wolves that were on the run -- Mr Crump, John Gana, Tom Conklin, Jack Ordner,Rick Muessner, Dave, Melbourne, Barry Waluda, And myself. Also appearing at various stops were Steve Cash, Dennis Russell, Doug Leaf, Michael LaBella, Brian Chase, Dennis Sherven, Gordy Daniels, mind blank (the corpsman in Jackson Ms, and at least 3 others that we are having CRS putting names on, ...... My apologies to these unlisted men --- perhaps they will sign in and add to this post. 4 Seawolves were on the "Fire in the hair team" that is also known as Road Guards .... and I think they all now know the top end of their machines ------- there is nothing more fun in a Road Guard's day than to go by a trooper at 95 plus, salute him, and he gives you the "thumbs up" . Tom Conklin and Barry Waluda were on the "advance team" and also got a big thumbs up as they went by. John "Lima Lima"Gana got pulled over by a city fuzz in Lynchburg Va doing 82 in a 60 -- after a couple "yes sirs" John was whipping through the gears again with no paperwork. There were no accidents on the South Route so a cumulative milage was about 750,000 miles from Rancho Cucamonga to Washington Dc.was traveled. The weather was great, and areas of rain or severe heat were passed through comfortably. We visited our brothers on the wall last night and once again toasted their service to our country.
John Gana, Rick Muessner, Jack Ordner, Dreux Spengler, , and I will be in Arlington for Seawolf Mike Fliechner burial services on Thursday the 29th after which we will disburse and head in various directions home.
