Role of honor Display on the Yorktown

Seawolf_det1
After reading Howard's post about the role of honor display, I fired off a message to them stating that I had family coming down to the area in early summer.   This is the reply that I got from them.

"Hi Rick,

Our museum services staff (Curators) tell me that the display should be going up in March.  If you haven't been to Patriots Point in a while, you may be excited to see our new Vietnam Experience Exhibit.

As you get closer to leaving for your trip, please don't hesitate to ask for additional exhibit updates.  We are happy to help.

Best Regards,

Chris Hauff
Public Information Officer"

I'll believe it when I see it ----- I talked to the Curator over a year ago when the big push was on to get the base camp on line for the 50th anniversary of the start of the VN war (official start that is )     I was promised that as soon as the push was over the ROH exhibit would be attacked ----- they had the plaques located and there are/ were no real reason not to put the old one back up --- well, I still think the wheel just got patted with some WD-40 again ------------  I still like the email campaign

Get idea of sending a note telling them you will be coming down.... I don't believe their response either. I've been sending notes on facebook on their page for quite a while and only got the one response in January of this year.

Lets hound the hell out of them.... keep it up!

Well guys we just need to keep putting pressure on them, whether it be phone calls, emails or post on Facebook to let them know we will be relentless until we get our display back up.    We could even try writing and mailing certified letters to the curator there that way they can't say they haven't  any correspondence about putting it back up. What is everyones thought about that idea?

I think as long as there is only one person that is being contacted, it will continue to be swept under the rug ---- get a bunch of people on the mailing list and clobber them --- -----   make the wheel SQUEAL !!
