Am wondering what to use to determine our ribbon qualifications and
where to order them?

Jim, keep in mind these are UNIT awards. You would use the dates you were attached to HA(L)-3; 5/27/1969 to 5/18/1970, to determine eligibility.

There are links on the second page you can click to take you to the website for instructions as to how to order replacements.

Yes they are Jim. No other dates to my knowledge.

There are exceptions for Dets attached to LST's etc, where they may have gotten a unit citation that does not show up as HA(L)-3.

Dan, i know i am due a whole lot more, but when i got out my dd214 didn't carry the info from my first dd 214 and all it put was my 1 -12 and when master chief Bill figured my flight recorda again it is to be corrected to 18 in stead of 12 sf air medal, and not any of the awards for the campaigns. how do i get this taken care of. i am not to smart in these things and i am not getting any younger.

09-JUN-1969 TO 31-OCT-1969 VIETNAM SUMMER-FALL 69
01-NOV-1969 TO 30-APR-1970 VIETNAM WINTER-SPRING 70
01-MAY-1970 TO 30-JUN-1970 SANCTUARY COUNTEROFFENSIVE
01-JUL-1970 TO 30-JUN-1971 VIETNAMESE COUNTEROFFENSIVE PHASE VII

Instructions are there also. I can send you documentation showing your dates in HA(L)-3 if you don't have that already (Page 2 of your service record). Just let me know.

For the Strike/Flight Air Medals correction, you would need submit the documentation Bill used to determine the 18 with references.

You should also send copies of both DD-214's if the second doesn't show the time frame applicable.
