Reunion 2014 DALLAS From the ex prez

Mike Dobson
I would like to thank everyone who attended the reunion, and those who certainly would have liked to have been there. I believe I am safe in saying we had a great time, and TEXAS, although still "warm", was a super site for this "gathering of the WOLVES" .  I want to thank those who truly made it happen, and worked hard to keep it rolling smoothly. First and foremost , our Super Seawolf, Barb Ely and her husband Gary Ely, Jack Williamson for manning the the Ships Store, Larry Rogers who had his shutter clicking continuously the entire time, to our film crew who amassed a huge file of footage documenting our stories, and to EVERYONE else who I have not listed and helped "make it happen". What a fantastic effort. and I am pleased to say ---- in the words of Jerry Lee Lewis to Little Richard after setting fire to his piano at the end of his performance that was the lead in for Little Richard -- "TOP THAT!!!" .........  What a great time was had by all ----- thank you from the very bottom of my heart to all....... what and experience this has been for me, to have the privilege (although Frank Gale and Barry Solomon had to do extensive arm breaking to get me to finally say yes) of being your Prez for the last 2 years. In truth, I did nothing, it was the people who worked faithfully for our association for very high wages --- Gary and Barb, Bud Barnes, Jim Meyers, Mike Worthington, Dan Arnes, Jack Williamson, Craig and Cheryl Jones, Don Jacobs, Joe Crutchner and his family, and all that in my moments of blubbering, that I have omitted . What a fantastic job and the result was a spectacular closing for me. I will write further for the Wolfgram and hopefully will do a better job as I have a chance to gather my thoughts. Again, thank You SEAWOLVES.  I will see you in 2016!

Ed's !! my sincere apologies, ---- everyone ---- I deserve a standing volley at the mud wall ----- Ed Pietzuch as Webmaster has been fantastic , and Ed Pearson has headed our education scholarship contest in a truly professional manner and I feel like the proverbial pile of dog dodo for not having their names in the above post of important "making it happen" people --- thank you gentlemen --- please stay on and do what you do so well !    Mike, Ex Prez

My wife and I would like to thank all the attending Seawolves for the great Seawolf Reunion of 2014!

It was my first reunion, and I can't imagine a better one. We had a great time and enjoyed everything about it (except for the drive through Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and back to Utah)!
The police escorts and BBQ at the Circle T Ranch was to me, the "Welcome Home" I never received from Vietnam or Desert Storm, and very special. It was also a pleasure to meet the Guest Speaker Michael Thornton, Medal of Honor recipient, SEAL Team 1 (Vietnam) and later Team 6.

It was sort of a blur meeting everyone and trying to remember names to faces, but thanks to all of you. I think I have finally caught up and responded to my notes on everyone's requests for contact info, etc. from the reunion, but if I haven't, please send me an email and let me know.

A side note, I believed that one of our Plank Owner Seawolves, ADJ3 Larry James Farmer, was living in Kansas and owned the "Prairie Dog City" but could never get through to the phone listed. We passed by the place at some "Podunk" place off the freeway on the way back just before the Colorado border, and I pulled in to see him. We were too early and the place wasn't opening soon, so I left my Seawolf Calling Card in the door. When we finally got home, there was a message on my answer machine from Larry Farmer. I called him back on his cell# that he gave, but it turned out he was ex-Army with MACV in Vietnam, not our Larry James Farmer...back to the search...
P.S. he has been looking to sell "Prairie Dog City" for years if anyone is interested in buying (and living in Podunk, KS)! My apologies to our Kansas Seawolves!
