ROH form

Larry
I just printed out the ROH Nomination form and realized that I cannot submit this form myself. It is a form for a "Nominator" to submit someone that he nominates for the ROH.

So this means that only someone that is already on the Roll Of Honor can nominate someone else to become a member of the ROH?

Not at all --- the Nominator can be , and usually is, one's self ----   you know where the info is and can write the story of a day that stands out in your combat life . Supporting pictures, additional inputs from witnesses, flight records,  medal verifications , and a DD-214 are all supporting and required, if possible, evidence of eligibility .   Keep in mind, it is not a "slam dunk" because you "think" you should be ROH but have nothing to support your eligibility ........

Pete, apply for a DD215 --- that is an upgrade DD214 that should/will show medals that are not on the DD214 .......   I believe you can request copies of your citations also -----  many of us left service right after HAL-3 --- you may be one ....... but in some cases, the citations never made it to your records ------ hopefully this will reconcile those omissions -------   Records section in St Louis may require a separate request for "Freedom of information " copies of your records which should be a complete file
