Visitation with family and friends will be held at Nobles Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 14th from 4:00 – 6:00pm. Graveside services and internment will be at the Courtney Cemetery on Thursday, January 15th at 11:00am. Rev. C. McAllister “Mac” Vaughn will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Phillip was born in Navasota, Texas on June 12, 1951 to John Paul and Billy Jane Keelan. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kimberly Hendricks and Sayer of Conroe, Texas; brother John Paul (JP) Keelan, Jr. of Navasota; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Sunny Sue Keelan of College Station; and, grandchildren Brailyn, Ferron, and Flynn Hendricks. Sorry to hear that Rick. I know he has had a rough time since his wife Betty took ill back in 2010 before she passed, including his own health. My condolences to the remaining family members.

Here is his Cruise Book Photo from the last page 84:

You are right about the snuff Howard.  I remember Chief James picked up his spit cup by accident and took a big drink of what he thought was his coffee.  The Chief was livid.........LOL

John Gana, pilot Det 1 , covered us at Phillip's services in Texas, it was a cold day for South Texas and about 2 hours N of Houston. Thanks John for again covering our "6"

Something I might add, John Gana placed a SEAWOLF PIN on the casket at the funeral home (I think that is right, ) anyway, when it arrived at the cemetery it was gone ---- the final resting place for the pin was confirmed by the funeral director, he had reopened the coffin and placed it on Phillips chest .... RIP Seawolf

Dobie I tried to reach you by phone yesterday but was un successful. I am so sad for our loss. I hope to see you and his fellow Seawolves at his service. I will always hold dear in my heart the honor of flying with you and John Gana together after 30 years in a Huey in Jackson Mississippi during Southern Route Run for the Wall. Along with many others.  I am in Dallas now. 972-510-7197.

We shared some good times, including exercising his drinking skills while chewing tobacco in Binh Thuy.
