I want to update everyone on the the Pacifica Christian Homecoming. I am sorry for the delay in writing this , but Jeannie ( my Wife ) had total knee replacement recently and it has dominated just about everything. Her therapy and recovery is progressing very well now and it makes it more possible to attend to other things now.
The Pacifica High Seawolves Homecoming was a great success. The Seawolf Teams played 4 homecoming games and won 3 of them. The boys varsity game was a real nail biter. The game came down to the last second of the game with the Seawolves being 1 point ahead. The opponents got the last second shot off at the buzzer , but the shot was missed and our Seawolves were victorious. What a game that was.
The whole day was great. Pacifica ap[preciates all us Seawolves and they certainly have a great way of recognizing us and making us feel at home.
The Seawolves were invited to early breakfast at the school in Santa Monica . Breakfast was attended by Seawolf Bill Summers and his wife , Gary Ely , Mike Madrid , Tom Phillips and myself. Also in attendance were Athletic director Kevin Kelsey and members of the athletic department. Several parents of students from the school were there along with some students. It was a good opportunity for us to visit and share thoughts with one another.
Highlight of the get together was that Tom Phillips gave a presentation and history of our squadron.
That was more than interesting to say the least. The Pacifica seawolves got to learn alot about us. many Questions were asked and answered. Tom did an excellant job on the presentation and all of you would have been proud and would have enjoyed it.
We then went to the afternoon games and were joined that afternoon by Seawolf Art Ibarra who enjoyed all the games and was able to stay with us to enjoy the nail biter at the end of the night. The game could not have been more exciting.
What a great day for all. Pacifica truly appreciates us and our service and we will be looking forward to attending next years homecoming events with them.
Hope many you seawolves can go with us next year,
Sincerely,
Joe Crutcher
