The Association Welcomes:

(07/18/2015)

(FRA) Michael A. PROFF, SGT, Army CrewChief/Gunner, 101st AVN, Soc Trang, 10/1965 to 11/1967. Mike served over 2 years continuously in Vietnam and helped with training the early Navy Seawolves in 1966. Mike is a commercial rotary wing and fixed wing pilot, and resides in Rosalia, WA, less than 30 miles from where I grew up in Ewan, WA!

Go Washington!

Here is a photo of Mike Proff at Soc Trang

Mike sent me another photo of one of our early Seawolves in training with him at Soc Trang, but doesn't remember the name...He is wearing a Rowell's Rats patch. Anyone recognize him?? Mike would like to know who it is...
He has now been identified as AO3 James H. CHAPMAN by Bill Pressey!

I know Kid.

I did magnify it, but just can't make it out for certain.

I'm inclined to think it's ADJ1 Jimmy Lee Kennedy, HC-1 Det 21/HAL-3 Det 4 (Rowell's Rats) because of the length of the name, and I think I sort of see a double "NN", but mostly because of the length of it.

Bill Pressey, what say you?

Just got off the phone with Bill Pressey, and he said right away it was AO3 James H. CHAPMAN, Jr.

Jim is a MBR of the Association, but evidently doesn't go on the Forum much, or the website...
