Bill very rare indeed. Who would be wearing a G-1 in Nam? I don't recall seeing any. So in that regard it certainly is phony. We certainly needed Hal-3 Parachute riggers. Also the beret is a special forces beret that probably was added in and did not come from Dan Locke. But Dan was a PR and I recall he was pretty handy with a sewing machine. I seem to recall seeing a photo of him sewing. I am guessing he put the patches on himself and he may have made the Rigger emblem. He left det-1 early. For a variety of reasons he went back to Binh Thuy. Good guy. My guess is he bought a used G-1 when he got out of the service. Not to mention who in their right mind would pay $2,000 for this. If they do then Bill you should get on ebay to sell your own treasure trove. Hope you are well--relatively speaking--and enjoying being a granddad.

The only G-1 flight jacket I saw over there was owned by Pappy, it was one thing he made certain to recover the night Song-on-Doc was totaled....And do you think my photo of an original S/wolf M-60 here could bring me $2000.00 bucks...A real btch to free-gun... And "Howdy" to you and David...

Bill,
Very interesting for a pilots jacket, the name patch is for an A/C  Enlisted Air Crew!

Gents, this is the sellers response, after I challanged the authenticity  of the jacket.

and ...
if you are Ok, Please check the many paper real or fake.
Since I am Japanese , I do not know whether or not the real thing .
If you are Ok, I will send the photo,

Please send me email to namhead at mark y9.dion.ne.jp。
Or , Should I ask to the association "seawolf.org" ?
