Kid, if Dave and I had been any closer to each other when we were manning the same door on the ground, we'd have been Siamese Twins !!  I don't think the bad guys liked any of us much that day --- the 60's were definitely singing !!

Mike I had forgotten we were manning the same door but I remember now. Crazy day. And kid we knew your crew would not bail on us. Question is why did you extend after that--clear evidence of the brain damage from that day. I can tell you I was closing in on the last quarter of my second extension and that day made me think my luck may be runnig out and Mike was in his last 30--bless him. I was asked to go and I said only if Dobbie went--no questions about it--away we went--our first flight in a sealords I think--again God bless the free sixty--the range with a free sixty was a part of what made us great. A well controlled free sixty was an asset for our troops on the ground and for our own safety. When they took it away (with good reason--some gunners could not grasp the fact you could shooot your own bird down or shoot a pilot) I thought about quitting but the sweet charms of the 50 caught my eye so I stayed. I will miss you guys at the reunion. I was intending to come but now I am in a business firefight and it is just like a heicopter trap ambush so I have my hands full. Have fun.

..David you will be deeply missed at this reunion,,,thus spoke-ith by one brain damaged Wolf...and yah know darn well why i extended...had to pass-on the skill of the "free-60.!" Ask Bear, (Barry G.) we never shut it down........free-gunner kid.....

Best to you David in that business firefight...50's rule.!.....and Dobbie told me he wasn't going on the Sealord flight unless you were with him....good team mate.
