Lost another Seawolf in WA

Dan Arnes

Around February last year I received a call from Seawolf James Seaman saying his Brother, Plank Owner Seawolf Robert Gary Seaman, Gunner, Det 6, 7/18/1967 to 7/17/1968 passed away.

Tonight, I received a call from the Wife of Seawolf James Lee Seaman, ADJ2, Gunner, Det 2, 5/17/1969 to 1/7/1970, to say Jim passed away yesterday in Elma, WA.
Jim also did a tour with the PACV Air Cushion Vehicles in the Mekong Delta before his tour with HA(L)-3. Jim was an active Seawolf Association MBR. Jim was also trying to get records from Det shipmates
and/or the military hospital unit in Vietnam where he was taken to when he was wounded on Det 2, for his Purple Heart, but hadn't been successful before he passed.

Wife Sandra said he had a heart attack this last January and never really recovered. Had Congestive Heart Failure, and had Lymphoma throughout his body and in constant pain.

She said that services for Jim are being arranged for burial in Roseburg National Cemetery
Also known as: Roseburg Veterans Cemetery
1770 Harvard Blvd
Roseburg, OR 97470
(541) 826-2511
Links to Cemetery Map and directions at: https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=39362

She will let me know when services are set up.

We now have 606 confirmed DAT (Died After Tour), (23.71%).
