She Messaged me and was seeking more information about Georg. I will post her message below. I'm trying to find ROH info on George but have nothing yet. I removed her phone number from her message but I can private message it to you if you need it.
Hi Craig this is Cathy Page Bergstrom and my brother was George Page.Ive talked and text to Dan Arnes and also Bill Rutledge a while ago about this and my brother George M Page was in the battle out of Moc Hoa on April 28 1969. Died 6 weeks after coming back to the states, knowing the other Seawolves on his ship never made it home.
I have been reunited with some amazing Seawolves and families since they found me back in February 2016. I went to my first Seawolf reunion in Savannah . What I'm trying to do is get all my brothers stuff together as my family (mom passed away in 1990) and my oldest brother in Ms never shared with me anything of George's tour.. so much info and I'm enjoying ever moment of everything I'm learning. After 47 yrs of wondering my puzzle is starting to be put together .
What I'm asking here is about the Roll of Honor .. Dan told me George was added in 2010.. I have no paper work, certificate,or plaque to show for this. Was wondering if there is a way I can receive something stating this for my brothers memory . In Savannah I was given George's combat Aircrew Wings, the Air Warfare wings and Barry Waluda presented the Seawolf coin to me. I've talked to other Seawolves that actually new George and that is so rewarding for me. My husband Tim has been my best support for all I've been learning .
Since I saw your post on FB I thought I'd reach out to you also.. and see if you already knew about this or if there was something you can help me with getting information on the paper work. Bill Rutledge wanted me to send some copies of what medals and rewards george already had but I didn't have everything until my brother sent me his stuff last week and there's nothing I.it for the ROH.I do see George's name on it along with others that sound familiar . I appreciate all you do for our Vets and for those that have left us some too soon. One more person that has been here for me after all these years and so responsive to me to know George's story is Lloyd T Williams..
I'm just beyond grateful for all the love, kindness and support I have received since 2-2016.
Thank you again if you can help out or if you already knew about this because of Dan. Sorry this is so long. I get carried away sometimes in feeling I need to explain things. Looking toward to hearing from you if you can help me ... thanks, CathyBergstrom
