Found another Seawolf

Gary & Barb Ely
Arriving late at the Dallas reunion was James McSwain and his daughter from Spring, Tx. Jim misinterpreted the dates and arrived Sunday morning after the majority had departed. Seawolves still on site quickly rallied to make Jim and his daughter feel welcome.  Jim has never been to a reunion, and is now up to speed about our organization and membership. Group pictures were taken with Jim and his daughter with reunion attendees still in Dallas. Carrie Bailey & Subrenna Kopriva immediately saw a scramble situation, and bailed to their rooms, quickly returning with 2 of the banquet mugs which were embossed for our reunion, for Jim and his daughter. In Seawolf fashion, this door gunner from Det 4 in the 1968 time period was made welcome and part of the group. ( Dan Arnes, check text on phone for additional info and pass  off to do what you do so well. )

That's too bad he was late... Sorry you missed a GREAT Reunion (and the Ross Perot, Jr. BBQ/TRIBUTE!) Jim.

Gary & Barb, I did not have any message from you on my phone? I checked my records though, and had found him on 4/24/2014. He was in HA(L)-3 Det 4 June '69 to June '70.

Mike Madrid and I were having breakfast when Mr. McSwain and his lovely daughter walked by asking where to check in.  I had to hot-foot it to the airport so glad to hear others stepped in.  Turns out James was also an aircrewman in HS-8 before becoming a Seawolf, and he flew combat SAR missions into North Vietnam, so he's a double-dipper when it comes to rating Combat Aircrew Wings.
