**04** Found and spoke with Brother of
Seawolf John Paul McCARTHY, Jr., PN2, Personnel, Vung Tau, 8/29/1968 to 1/3/1969. He arrived from HEDSUPPACT, Taipai, Taiwan and transferred to NSA Danang (or Chu Lai, according to Jan 69 Wolfgram) after HA(L)-3. I had found a guy in Find A Grave who passed away Apr 1, 2000, that appeared to fit “Paul” as he went by, and his brother (also in the Navy) returned my call and confirmed it tonight. He went into an Officer program at some point after HA(L)-3 and retired at Little Creek, VA as LCDR at 30 years.
