Robert Charles WHEELER, AO2, Gunner, Det 4, 12/22/1967 to 11/3/1968.
Had found death information on person with this same name, same approximate birth date and matching Navy enlistment date of Mar 1966, but until today, was unable to confirm, until I finally found his SSN which shows 2 Flight/Strike Air Medals being awarded during timeframe of his tour with HA(L)-3. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, died 30 Jul 2007, doesn't say where, and no obituary or burial information found. Shows married a Karen Virginia Newman in 1976, but unable to find her. Record with matching enlistment date also shows he got out of the Navy in Feb 1986 with 20 years.
