James Monroe Julius, PHC, TAD to HA(L)-3, 11/1966 to 1/1967 from PacFltCombatCameraGroup.
Chief Julius took PH2 Lew Roane’s place on the helo that crashed in the water on the PACV Incident. Also awarded an Air Medal-Flight/Strike from us.
He retired as PHCS, just passed away 11 Aug, 2019.

PACV Photos with SeawolvesI just heard back from Lew Roane; said Yes, CPO Julius was my crew chief and yes,TAD from Pac Fleet Combat Camera Unit.
The crash resulted in him having a concussion and broken leg and as a result he was shipped back to the States. Sorry to hear that he passed away.
