Seawolf Kenneth Floyd O’NEAL, ADJ2, Maintenance, Binh Thuy, 6/18/1971 to 1/25/1972. Found he had passed away 1 Jan, 2006 in Baytown, TX.
He was the youngest of all his family, so no relatives could be located (other than cemeteries). He was born in Guernsey, Nebraska and in the 1940 Nebraska Census,
he was 2 months old and youngest of all his siblings. The next youngest was 22 years old, his Mom was 45! No birth certificate was found, so may have been adopted???
Confirmed with Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File; initial enlistment date matched.
Very likely made ADJ1 or ADC prior to retiring with 22 years, but information after he left HA(L)-3 on 25 Jan 1972 with orders to NAVSTA T.I. SAN DIEGO, CA FURASPERS (ADJ2) is unknown.
I believe he left his tour early possibly because his mother might have been very ill (she died 25 Mar 1972, less than 2 months after he arrived CONUS)
