**10** Found DAT Seawolf Richard CORBETT, AMS1, Maintenance, Binh Thuy, 8/11/1971 to 3/8/1972. He is not in SSN Death Index or VA Gravesite locator.
Found record in Find A Grave in Aug 2012, but it didn’t mention military service, etc. I did a photo request for the grave marker and it showed he was an AMSC with Korea and Vietnam service.
The Korea Service threw me off since he would only be 9-14 years old during the Korean War (1950-1955), and he enlisted in April 1959?
I finally found an Ancestry.com. U.S., Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File which had no name on the record, but showed same birth and death dates, SSN, and his Enlistment and Release dates
which matched our guy’s and confirmed he lived in Florida when he passed away. He transferred from us to VP-45 at NAS Jacksonville, FL in 1972.
Richard did not make the Yearbook Individual photos
