The lady who wrote this letter below not only has a grasp of the situation, but also an incredible command of the English language. Her letter was sent to Mr. Rand who is the Executive Director of AARP. It only takes a few days on the Internet and this message will have reached 75% of the public in the U.S.A.
Dear Mr. Rand,
Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. This isn't what you were looking for, but it is the most honest response I can give you. Our coverage gap is a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith. While we have proudly maintained our membership for years and long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse its abdication of our values. Your letter stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours!
Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace. We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.
Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP once gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama Regime and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there! We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities and values.
This Obama Regime scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage. But more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don't have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist Mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities.
Your web site generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? The illegal perpetrators have broken into our 'house', invaded our home without invitation or consent. The President insists we keep these illegal perpetrators in comfort and learn the perpetrator's language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them. I DON'T choose to welcome them, to support them, to educate them, to medicate them, or to pay for their food or clothing. American home invaders get arrested. Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break and enter to be welcomed?
We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current Regime. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than ones that are driven by a need to yield AMNESTY (aka-make voters out of the foreign lawbreakers so they can vote to continue the governments free handouts). This addition of 10 to 20 million voters who then will vote to continue Socialism will OVERWHELM our votes to control the government's free handouts. It is a "slippery slope" we must not embark on!
As Margaret Thatcher (former Prime Minister of Great Britain) once said "Socialism is GREAT - UNTIL you run out of other people's money".
We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you. I am disappointed as all get out! I am more scared than I have ever been in my entire life! I am ANGRY! I am MAD as heck, and I'm NOT gonna take it anymore!

There is a conservative counter organization to AARP providing the same benefits, the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC). Check them out.

Grace, not grade. .
Both AARP and AMAC are insurance companies...AMAC was started by an insurance agent....AARP has 40 million members, AMAC ...330,000. AMAC lobbies for ending Soctal Security and moving the cash to 401k accounts... did you live through 2009, would you wants the same banksters "investing" your contributions? AMAC lobbies for the end of the IRS. ..sounds fun, but who pays for the DOD? Obamacare is terrible. ..it requires insurance companies to cover hospitalization and doctors....something that wasn't required before, it allows you to keep your kids insured till the age of 26....private policies, for those of us who earn a living by working for themselves, or for a non mega company to afford health care. ...mine dropped 45% in price ...with no subsidies....
Is it socialism. .. or democracy as in "for the people, by the people"?
What specifically are people so upset about ? 17 million more are insured, hospitals are actually getting paid...the largest numbers of newly insured are in our Southern states...Kentucky, Alabama etc., majority are white working people...with jobs at Wal-Mart, McD's, etc.... our generation had factory jobs that paid a decent wage, those jobs won't be coming back...they have been automated. .. so what happens to folks that just can't make it through high school? Or those who don't go further than high school...
Social Security, Medicare, Obamacare. .are all good programs... that get bad mouthed by gas bags that don't have another solution...
Grace, not grase. ..

well Paul, granite more people are insured because the government picks up 90% of the tab for the poor people, to speak of,,, my son lets take an instance here, was working for 10 dollars an hour, and his medical coverage was to be 450 dollars a month as he made too much to qualify for any assistance, Medicaid said no,, what was it based on?400 dollars a week gross,, but.. they didn't take into account almost half of his check goes for child support, he is not a dead beat dad,,, the rent he has to pay 700 a month, lights and gas another 160 a month, car payment, lives in the country (cheaper rent) and a vehicle is a must. then the car insurance, oh, and the little bit he does eat,,, this is a 2 party income world now,, if you are single, it is tough. he elected to not do the insurance last year, it cost him 300 dollars in fines on his federal,, so the little bit he would have got back he had to add 90 dollars. we lost that job in November last year, the next best thing he could get here in Fallon, and most of you guys know how big we are here, he started at 8.50 an hour. wellll, i got him covered now, costs 18.50 a month so i got it coming out of my checking so i know it will get paid, thanks Obama, this time it helped, no fines next year, he has it now,, but,, 6300.00 / 12600.00 deductible so who is the winner here, not me i am helping my son best as i can, he will still have to go to the emergency room and still not be able to pay, since the deduct is so high. not him,,,, i am afraid all the parties in Washington , due to all the wars we have had to go into, both treaties and circumstances, the mishandling of this country, greed, give a damn attitude, are guilty of putting us into the spot we are in now, it will take a long time for us to recuperate from our present position, it still has to get worse before it will start getting better, in the mean time we still have Russia, china, and the islam nations butting heads with us. us brothers are in our twilight now,,, we wont have to put up with this.. but our sons and daughters, their children,, our heritage are the ones that will feel the pain of losing this great nation, or having come up with a alternate solution to get us back on track. this is the cold reality. not cussing out the republicans and the democrats. presidents and the tea parties,,,we have all these because we are a free nation,, well i kinda got off on another track here, just had to voice my opinion, yes AAEP and AMAC are both in it for the money,, i looked at it,,, damned if you do and damned if you don't all this still doesn't change my mind about my love i have for my Seawolves, we may disagree a lot, but when one of us hits a pothole, we scramble.... take care my friend
You've never lived until you almost died, for those who fight for it
freedom has a flavor the protected will never Know!

Michael, I know how you feel. I am retiring in May @65. My wife and daughter will be without insurance. I have Medicare , a supplement and VA. My wife will pick up hers from her part time job but will take almost half of her monthly income for medical. If she wants to cover our daughter the wife would be working just to pay for insurance. Daughter (20 yo) works part time and tries to go to school but can not afford all of it. She works for min wage, 9.72 hr in Washington, but still only gets three days a week. Sure she/we make to much to get subsidised Obamacare and even then the deductible and co pays are so high you never get them paid off so might as well not have the insurance except for major hospital coverage. So much for "Affordable" Care act! The politicians should also be on this and the insurance companies should be out of it. How those poor people that get susidized can still afford the deductibles is beyond me!
The govt. needs to be clean sweeped out and limit terms for ALL offices put the politicians on Obamacare, make em earn Social security like the rest of us, no pension cept a 401K like they want all of us to have.
Oh hell you all know what needs to be done. Just get my blood pressure up talking about it.
Y'all have a good day anyway.
