**05** Found and spoke with Son of DAT Seawolf Leonard Paul RUSSELL, Jr., AE2, 8263 Gunner, Det 9 or maybe Sealords?, 11/2/1971 to 3/2/1972.
Found a possible deceased name, finally found an obituary, led me to daughter in law who said yes, he was a Seawolf (her words), gave me his son’s cell number and I spoke with him. Son would like to know if anyone knew him. Said his dad retired as a Chief, died of end stage Emphysema, buried at sea. Born in Canada.

Of 2,552 confirmed Seawolf names, 353 Navy Seawolves still remain to be found, which includes 29 Plank Owners, and 7 prior Association Members we’ve lost contact with.
Sadly, we have 511 confirmed DAT (Died After Tour), (20.02%).

I knew him, but not well.  He flew as a Sealord - I'm fairly certain, but hadn't flown on a Det that I knew of.
